Preparing for the Ajman Excellence Programme

We prepare Ajman's government entities for the Ajman Excellence Programme: we establish where you stand against the criteria, build the evidence with you and ready your team for assessment — with a clear method from day one.

About Ajman Excellence Programme

The Ajman Excellence Programme is the Government of Ajman's programme for embedding a culture of excellence in the emirate. It is a family of awards rather than a single one: it recognises government entities for their institutional performance and services, honours distinguished employees, and extends to the community and scientific research.

Official site: ajep.ajman.ae

The programme's awards

  1. Ajman Award for Government Performance Excellence

    We prepare for this

For the emirate's government entities: institutional performance, customer service, talent management and partnerships.

  2. Global Star Rating System for Services

    We prepare for this

Star ratings for service centres, websites and smart applications.

  3. Ajman Project Management Award

For an entity's project management system, at institutional and operational level.

  4. Distinguished Government Employee Award

    We prepare for this

Honours distinguished employees in supervisory, administrative, field, innovation and customer service categories.

  5. Ajman Community Award

For members of the community: positive citizenship, good example and voluntary work.

  6. Scientific Research Award

    Honours outstanding scientific research.

How assessment works

The programme assesses institutional performance on two axes, each with three criteria:

Capabilities

  • Effectiveness
  • Efficiency
  • Development and improvement

Results

  • Comprehensiveness
  • Achieving results
  • Development in performance

What that means for your file

  • “Development in performance” means a result is read as a trend, not a snapshot: prepare at least three years of data for every key indicator.
  • “Comprehensiveness” means your results cover everything that matters to your work, not only the comfortable indicators. A gap in coverage is read before a gap in the numbers.
  • Capabilities are judged on effectiveness and efficiency together, then on development and improvement: an approach that is applied is not enough — it must be applied, measured and improved, with evidence.
  • Assessors meet criterion owners face to face. Whoever answers during the visit must have lived the work, not written the file.

Where we work with you

How we prepare you

  1. 1

    Read the Criteria

Decomposing the award guide into measurable, trackable requirements.

  2. 2

    Self-Assessment

A structured internal assessment to establish the real baseline.

  3. 3

    Close the Gaps

Delivering initiatives and building missing evidence within a defined window.

  4. 4

    Submit & Defend

Submitting the file and preparing fully for the site visit and interviews.

Check your award readiness in three minutes

The nine questions we ask every entity before we start. Answer honestly; the result shows immediately and we ask for no details to reveal it.

1Do you know your baseline?
  • We ran a documented self-assessment in the last twelve months, with a score per criterion.
  • We know our previous score and the assessors' feedback word for word, not from memory.
  • We have named our three weakest criteria, with their weights.
2Does the evidence actually exist?
  • We keep an evidence matrix that lists, codes and tracks every requirement.
  • Every figure we plan to cite comes from a system an assessor can be shown.
  • We hold at least three years of data showing a trend, not a single snapshot.
3Does every criterion have an owner?
  • Each criterion has an owner named as a person, not a department, with real authority.
  • Each owner knows they will be interviewed in person during the site visit.
  • Senior management has approved protected weekly time for the award work.

Frequently asked questions

When should we start preparing?+

Six to nine months before the assessment phase. We can work to tighter timelines, but the return is higher the earlier we start, because genuine evidence is built, not written.

Can we gauge our readiness before contacting you?+

Yes. The readiness check on this page is free and gives you the result at once, with your weakest area, without asking for your details.

Do you guarantee a win?+

No one can guarantee the decision of an independent assessment panel. What we do guarantee: you will know exactly where you stand, and your team will enter the assessment with genuine evidence it can defend.
